Kent joined SR One in 2003 after three years at GSK Ventures. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Algeta ASA, Protez Pharmaceuticals, CalciMedica, and Resistentia Pharmaceuticals AB. He was previously Director of Alere Medical and Observer for TorreyPines Therapeutics and Morphotek Inc. Kent has held positions in Scientific Licensing (1999-2000) Clinical Pathology and Safety Pharmacology (1993-1999) at SmithKline Beecham Pharmaceuticals, Assistant Research Director of Clinical Pathology at Sterling Winthrop Pharmaceuticals (1989-1992) and Assistant/ Associate Professor of Veterinary Clinical Pathology at Louisiana State University. Kent received his DVM and MS from Purdue University, his PhD in Veterinary Clinical Pathology from Louisiana State University, is a Diplomat of the American College of Veterinary Pathologists, and received his MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
